Membracon Clean Water Solutions UK along with CEI (Confederation of Empowerment Initiatives) took the opportunity to provide sustainable impact development to hundreds of thousands of people who reside in India’s Jabalpur district, via providing them with technology transfer to treat the contaminated drinking water.
At present, the three major sources of water collection stem from the River Narmada (the largest west flowing river of the Peninsular India), Rain and Groundwater. The increased demand on water supply, coupled with climate change has left many regions of the district succumbed to water scarcity. Subsequently, leading to multiple dimensions of disease and suffering for the communities of Jabalpur.
Water scarcity presents a multifaceted array of problems across all aspects of living. Human healthcare is impaired when water is not easily available. When populations are forced to consume dirty water, Malnutrition is the obvious result. Stunting prevails, along with further diseases in the shape of cancer development and neurological damage, that disable and disempower communities.
Water is also needed across all industries of manufacturing and production. Whether it’s steel, plastics or paper, water, pure water at that, is a vital stage of the production process. And without a stable access supply of clean water, the communities food security remains vulnerable, with both the Food & Beverage industry and Agriculture requiring plenty of suitable water for production.
Our aim is to provide clean drinking water to exposed regions across India at the micro level, further contributing to achieving the UN SDGs at the macro level.
A detailed Plan was finalised to initiate a joint practice of spiritual economical development to empower the most disadvantaged Tribal Communities and regions in Maharashtra by:
Providing fresh drinking water.
Eradicating malnutrition and other waterborne diseases caused by contaminated water.
Protect the forests and ecology to give birth to entrepreneurship skills among the tribals.

Narmadeshwari, a step forward…
As mentioned earlier, river Narmada remained as the main source to give a boost to the livelihood of the tribals who reside in the plains and forest which surrounds the mighty river Narmada.
Thereby, Narmadeshwari rose as a brand dedicated to the Holistic Empowerment of the millions of tribal people who reside in the plains and forests surrounding the mighty river Narmada, to bring a long term benefit to tribal communities.
Through this endeavour we will:
Provide employment opportunities to the economically backward communities, beginning in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.
